Final Points Will Be Posted Soon...
It will take a day or so while the points for the season are gone over to ensure accuracy. As soon as they are forwarded to me, I'll have them posted.
In the better late than never report, Saturday night saw Brad Roberts finally put an end to his bad luck as he claimed the Engine Pro IMCA Mod feature over a hard charging Joe Fowler. Joe Pomeroy out did the local boys in the first of three open shows in the Street Stocks and Tim Wood bested the rest as he won the Pro Truck feature. Barry Rinard outlasted Chaney Newland to bring home the Pro Stock feature win while Gaven Parks beat back Richard Melton for the win in the Flinn Stocks.
The Sunday night version of the Labor Day week saw Josh Loomis lead all 15 laps on his way to a very impressive win over Mike Wilburne, and Gary Buskirk in the Smokers Club Street Stock division while Wade Witherspoon won the Soaring Eagle Casino Outlaw Late Model feature despite a strong run that came up just shy by Frank Seder. Dave Hilliker came back from the back to finish third. In the Kentucky Fried Chicken Late Models, nobody had a thing for Zach Olger as he lapped the field up to fifth place in an impressive win. The 2009 Late Model champ Jay Van Dyke came home second, followed by Carl Reis, Brian Nickerson, and Tom Dusen.
In the Port City Pro Stocks, Vern Buskirk came out triumphant as he beat back Jimmy Hale Jr., Ryan Kent, Derek Schestag, and Chaney Newland. The Races On The Web Flinn Stock feature was taken by Charles Peterson with Gaven Parks and Bob Whitcomb not far behind. The final event of the weekend was the Port City Pro Trucks which was taken by Richard Neiman, followed by Gordie Snyder and Tim Wood.
